J. Pat Burleson was featured on the cover of the very first ever copy of the Black Belt magazine. Really a great guy. He was Master Hawkin's instructor before Family Karate was opened.

I was at a dinner and got Pat Morita to autograph a couple of White Belts. He was Mr. Miagi in the Karate Kid movie. 

I auctioned one of the bets for the Sickle Cell Dease Association and got over $200 for it. We raised a little over $12,600 for research.

We were raising money for the Pediatric Brain Tumor research and I told the kids if they raised $10,000, they could shave my head.  Well, they raised over $18,000 and I didn't look too bad.

This was some of the Physically Challenged Karate Kids at the JAWS summer camp.
